Sometimes we realise that we have created a design in various colourways, supplied it even to various clients, but still it has no name. Here is a case in point. And so today, three years after its inception, it is this design’s naming day. Trying to remember the inspiration for a design is a fool’s errand but looking at it now it reminds us of two things: one is a circuit board, the internal guts of an electronic machine with lines of solder connecting parts together. The other is a circus, probably because of the original, joyful colourway that included red highlights. Together they create an incongruous image which is exactly what appeals to us. So here we are, Circus boards, happy naming day!
