Amsterdam home
Relief tiles in dark grey B028 adorn the wall of this under-the-stairs sink area in a home in Amsterdam. The client liked them so much that they ordered the same tiles for above the stairs, too. The triangles and semi-circles are made more visible by the terracotta ‘peeking through’ from beneath the glaze at the edges of each shape, an effect that is emphasised by the dark grout colour.

Together with the client, we created a random design made up of RE AL1, RE AL2 and RE E1 tiles in dark grey B028 glaze.

As the edge of the top row of tiles was visible, we glazed the sides to create a consistent dark grey look.

The natural wood, concrete floor and handmade tiles combine to form a sort of elegant, urban industrial look.
